Talk to Camera If you Want to Connect

Many people do these talking head videos where they simply talk to a camera then post the video on social media. Quite often those who do these videos use 2 cameras in order to make their video a little more dynamic.

While this is a good thing most people do not look at this other camera and that makes the video non-engaging because they end up with shots where the speaker looks away from the camera. Here’s what I mean:

If you want help with editing your videos please contact us and we’ll talk you through the easy process of how this is done. Here are all the details on what we offer.

Editing Your Shots for You

You Shoot and We Edit

At Videos Productions we would like to offer you this special service of editing your video for you. If you follow our weekly tutorials you can learn about the many facets of video making. We provide with these free tutorials to allow you to create your own video. We do, however, realize that some of you out there do not have access to an editing suite.

What does that include?

If you think you have all your ducks in a row and you’ve made your video but need someone to edit it for you, why not giving us a call to discuss your project. We want to help as much as possible and provide you with a video to use on all your social media platforms and website. And hey, if you insist, we may even allow you to feature your video on our website too just to have it on an extra platform online.

So in order for us to help you, we need you to provide us with footage that is usable. What does that mean?

Sound

Sound, shots, composition, lighting, scripting as well as other factors you may consider in your video must be of a usable nature. Let’s talk about sound for example. If you record yourself using the camera built-in microphone and you are outdoors, we would not be able to edit the sound for you because that same microphone will pick up environmental sounds like cars passing by, aeroplane flying above, wind, people walking by and talking etc. We will have to include the available sound as it is in your video, and that may not sound perfect. Your viewers may not hear you properly.

We recommend using a sound system that is readily available to you so that your sound is perfect. In this tutorial about sound, we show you how to do this in a very easy and cost-effective way.

Composition

We made a tutorial about composition and you can see the video in this tutorial here.

Composition accompanied by good lighting makes a good shot. Your viewers can see you clearly and the details in the shot complimenting it. It is not cluttered.

These are just some of the factors you want to consider when taking shots for your video. We detail below what our offer includes and how much it will be when you send your shots to us for edit.

What does The Offer Include

In order for us to provide you with value, we need to receive all shots from you together with a storyline. This will allow us then to go through all shots, read the storyline and start editing.

Here is what you need to consider:

  • Well lit shots
  • Clear sound
  • Clear storyline
  • MP4 format
  • Payment in advance

You will get your video for tweaking within 2 working days, get back to us with your comments and receive the final version the following working day.

To take advantage of this offer please click here to go to our Contact Us page and we will get back to you the following day or in some cases the same working day, just because we don’t like to let you wait forever.

What Camera to Use for Your Video – Videos Productions Tip

By | Video Marketing, Videos Productions Tutorials | No Comments

To Cell Phone or Not to Cell Phone. . .

There are so many ways to record video now, and the easiest and always on you is probably your cell phone. However, if we showed up to film for a client with only our cell phones we would not be looked at with any degree of professionalism. Secondly, you can’t change the lens on your cell phone. So for overall quality for your videos we recommend a higher quality camera to film with.

Here’s our tutorial for this week on what camera to use:

What we use to film the tutorials, such as what you are watching now we use:

The Canon SX 60 HS

A great simple camera to use for your business talking head videos

Here’s a link to the Canon webpage with information about this camera.

If you choose a camera to take shots for your video and need help with editing please contact us and take advantage of our special offer where we help you with editing. All details about our editing offer here.
